If you’re a man who suffers from erectile dysfunction, you’ve probably noticed the headlinesombie erection pills are sometimes the subject of a drug review.
But a new review of the popular erectile dysfunction medication Viagra (sildenafil) in the United States concluded that it was unsafe to take the drug when it comes to the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
The review looked at data from the American Urological Association’s (AUA) annual report on the medical community’s knowledge of men with erectile dysfunction, which included studies that compared the two drugs, and found that both were generally safe in treating ED.
But the review also found that one of the studies had a low risk of bias, and the other did not.
In a statement, the AUA said it was pleased to learn that it was reviewing the data, and “we believe this review will serve as a valuable resource for all men concerned about erectile dysfunction.”
While the review was positive, it found that the study’s authors, Dr. Steven Nissen, MD, and colleagues, were concerned that the study did not include sufficient control populations to demonstrate that sildenafil was safe in the treatment of ED.
“These results highlight the potential for sildenafil to be used off-label to treat men with erectile dysfunction,” said Dr. Nissen. “This type of drug is a known safety issue, and it appears that erectile dysfunction treatment has been the subject of a large number of studies to date. We are reviewing the data in addition to our initial review of sildenafil, and we believe this review will serve as a valuable resource for all men concerned about erectile dysfunction.”
The review also found that the study’s authors did not perform a sufficiently high risk analysis to conclude that the drug was safe for men with ED.
However, the study authors concluded that the study’s results were “unclear that sildenafil is unsafe for use as a treatment of ED.”
If you have concerns about ED, or have medical conditions that could cause ED, or are considering treatment for ED, speak to your doctor about the potential risks and benefits of taking Viagra.
The AUA website includes a summary of the studies and their results. You can view and review the full year of data from the analysis, as well as a full list of studies that are also included in the analysis.

Cost of Viagra: $1,000.00/month/This month’s coverage of the study is NPR’s.“Erectile dysfunction is a very common and often debilitating condition in men,” Dr. Nissen said. “It’s not just a sexual issue — it affects men all over the world.”Dr. Nissen said that the review does not provide an exhaustive list of ED treatments, including other treatments like medication, surgery, surgery to treat the underlying issue, and treatments that are available without a prescription. Nissen said that some of the data used in the analysis were based on the findings of previous studies and did not include adequate controls.
For example, Dr. Nissen noted that a study of men who were not diagnosed with erectile dysfunction in 2013 found that Viagra was safe for most of the subjects in the study. But he added that the study didn’t examine the use of other ED treatments, including lifestyle changes and medical therapies, to help make the analysis more precise.
“We found that the results of our analysis are consistent with previous research,” Dr. “It’s important to note that erectile dysfunction is not a medical condition and is not a medical disorder.”
“We don’t know all the symptoms and the underlying causes of erectile dysfunction, so it’s hard to know what to do,” Dr. “But we know that many of the symptoms are common in people with erectile dysfunction.
